Vaset Gomobu Fjellstue

Gomobu Fjellstue is built in old Norwegian architecture, and the lodge is entirely decorated and furnished in traditional colours and style. Gomobu has 10 new high standard cabins, built in 1998, as well as 36 hotel rooms. Here you can find cosy lounges with open fireplace, fully licensed bar, dining hall and sauna. Dance music one or several evenings a week. Conference, courses and feasts can be held in a 200 year old timber house seating 60 people

Gomobu Fjellstue is ideally set at 1000m above the sea in the beautiful Vaset area on the high plateau between the valleys of Valdres and Hemsedal. The Panorama road takes you here, and gives you a scenery view into the wild Jotunheimen. This is an ideal starting point for excursions to the beautiful fjords and mountains. You will always find a wide spectre of activities fore the hole family, all year.

Summer: Rafting, climbing, sauna, moose safari, horse riding, cycling, fishing, hillwalking, berry picking, bathing, canoes, dancing  .

Winter: Cross-country skiing (120 km of groomed tracks), slalom, snowboard, telemark, ski slopes with lift at 500m from Gomobu, sauna, dancing, horse riding, sleigh rides .

How to get to Vaset:
Bus: The Valdre express from Oslo stops outside Bergo.
By air: Leirin, Valdres Airport (45 km), Oslo Gardermoen (200 km) .
Car: From Oslo, E18 to Sandvika, then the E16 to Fagernes, after 20 km turn left at Ulnes, drive Panoramaveien to Vaset .
