Description  Rjukan Hytteby consists of 10 cabins, which are exact replicas of the first workers' houses that were erected at the beginning of the 1900s. They are fully equipped and have sleeping accommodation for 6 people. The buildings blend beautifully with Rjukan's environment and form a separate "village" in the town. The service building has a reception and inn, and Rjukan Hytteby is situated in a quiet district in the heart of Rjukan center. When holidaying in Rjukan all attractions in Telemark are accessible.

Location  In the city
Rjukan Hytteby is situated in in Rjukan in Telemark county, an active small-town environment with shops, cinema, restaurants and cafes. This is a mountain district with excellent conditions for hill-walking, hunting and fishing. Rjukan, famous for dramatic events during the war, is situated at the bottom of the valley, at the foot of Gaustatoppen, which with its 1883 m is easy to ascend in both summer and winter.

Summer: gorge walks, climbing, shopping, dancing, mushroom and berry picking, mountain cycling, hunting, fishing, hill-walking, climbing Gaustatoppen, forest walks.
Winter: Alpine (5 slopes) and cross-country skiing (85 km of marked tracks)
by Gaustablikk, cross country in Skinnarbu by Hardangervidda (100 km of
tracks), ice climbing, snow boarding, sledging, ice fishing,  ice rink, dancing, shopping .

* Rauland - Industriarbeidermuseet (the Industry Workers Museum) in Vemork, with the Heavy water sabotage exibition, Krossobanen, exhibitions and museums (45 km)
* Åsberg Zoo offers activities for children (30 km)

How to get to Rjukan:
Bus: Express coach from Skien and Oslo.
By air ; Oslo Gardemoen (240 km)
Car: From Oslo, take the E18 to Drammen, then the E134 to Ørvella, followed by highway no. 361 and highway no. 37 to Rjukan. The chalet village is next to the church, on the other side of the river.

The cabin is a replica of the workers' houses that were built at the beginning of the 1900s. It measures 30 m2 plus a spacious loft room, and all rooms have a bright and pleasant interior. The cabin also contains a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. If you don't want to cook, the inn has lots of tempting dishes on offer!
