Alpina Apartments is located in Rauland in the district of Vinje, in the Northern part of Telemark Country. Rauland lies in a scenic mountain area
The area surrounding Rauland is famous for its well-preserved cultivated landscape and its genuine Telemark culture, with old buildings and strong handicraft traditions. Rauland is 900 m above sea level, in the south-facing slope of Hardangervidda and is well suited for outdoor sports, both winter and summer.

Activities:
Summer: dog sleigh riding, shopping, moose safaris, horse riding (large riding center), cycling, fishing in rivers and lakes, mountain trips to Hardangervidda, mushroom and berry picking, forest walks (80 km of marked paths), boat hire, canoe trips, and visits to the museum and gallery.

Winter: cross-country skiing (180 km prepared tracks), ski school, slalom, snowboard, telemark, 2 ski slopes with 9 lifts and 13 pistes, only 15 km to Norway's biggest sleigh lift with snow scooter hire (Vierli), sledging, dog sleigh riding, snow rafting, ice fishing, après ski, sauna, dancing, Christmas dinner, sleigh rides, horse riding (large riding center), shopping

How to get to Rauland:
Bus: Express coaches from Oslo, Stavanger, Haugesund and Bergen to
Rauland.
Train: To Bø connecting with local buses.
By air: Oslo, Gardermoen (270 km).
Car: From Oslo, take the E18 to Drammen, then the E134 to Åmot, followed by highway no. 37 to Rauland. The resort is situated at road no. 362, approx. 6 km from Rauland center.
