Description of area  Hovden Høyfjellsenter is centrally situated at 800 m above sea level in a grand high mountain setting at Hovden, at the head of Setesdal Valley. Hovden's nature is welcoming. This is one of Norway's winter sports locations where good skiing conditions are most assured, and here you can find floodlit tracks for both alpine and cross-country skiing. In the summer in Hovden you can take a dip or fish in fresh mountain lakes, take spectacular hikes and pick berries and mushrooms.  Hovden Høyfjellsenter is located 800 meters above sea level, in the center of Hovden. Set amidst beautiful mountain vistas, Hovden is located at the top of the Setesdalen Valley.

How to get to Hovden:
Bus: Express buses from Oslo, Kristiansand, Bergen, Haugesund, Skien.
By air: Oslo, Gardermoen (340 km).
Kjevik, Kristiansand (210 km).
Car: Highway no. 9 from Kristiansand. From Oslo, take the E18 to Drammen, then the E134 to Haukeligrend, followed by highway no. 9 to Hovden.
